Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update comprehensive course curricula and lesson plans for various graphic design programs, including foundational courses and specialized workshops.
- Deliver engaging, interactive, and practical instruction to students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels, both theoretically and through hands-on projects.
- Mentor students, provide constructive feedback on their projects, and guide them in building strong, industry-ready portfolios.
- Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations, ensuring fair and consistent evaluation standards.
- Stay current with the latest graphic design software, tools, trends, and industry best practices to ensure course content remains relevant and cutting-edge.
- Manage classroom dynamics, encourage active student participation, and create a supportive and inspiring learning environment conducive to creativity.
- Collaborate with the academic team to enhance course offerings, improve instructional methodologies, and contribute to curriculum development.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, providing regular reports as required.
- Participate in professional development activities to continuously improve teaching skills and subject matter expertise in graphic design.
- Assist in promoting the academy's graphic design programs to prospective students and represent the academy at relevant events.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD).
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to teach complex concepts clearly and engagingly to diverse audiences.
- Solid portfolio showcasing diverse graphic design work across various mediums.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (verbal and written) for effective instruction and communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced educational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Certifications in Adobe Creative Suite or other relevant design tools.
- Previous experience (at least 2 years) in a creative agency or a professional design role.
- Experience with UI/UX design principles and tools.
- Familiarity with motion graphics or video editing software.
