Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Freelance Graphic Designer to collaborate on exciting and impactful creative projects for Rwanda Tea (WTH – Gisakura). This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the visual identity of a beloved Rwandan brand, working on a project-by-project basis that offers flexibility and creative autonomy. You will be instrumental in developing visually compelling assets that resonate with our brand’s heritage, quality, and global aspirations. Your work will span across various mediums, from enhancing our packaging designs to creating engaging digital content for social media campaigns, marketing materials, and website visuals. We are looking for a designer who can translate complex ideas into clear, aesthetically pleasing, and effective visual communications, maintaining brand consistency while injecting fresh, innovative perspectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of branding principles. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design high-quality visual content for various marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns, print advertisements, and promotional materials.
- Contribute to the refinement and evolution of our tea packaging designs, ensuring they are both appealing and compliant with industry standards.
- Create engaging social media graphics, website banners, and other digital assets that enhance our online presence and drive engagement.
- Ensure all designs adhere strictly to Rwanda Tea's brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across all platforms and projects.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to understand project requirements, objectives, and target audience.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
- Provide creative input and innovative design solutions that elevate our brand's visual appeal and communication effectiveness.
- Prepare files for both print and digital production, ensuring technical accuracy and quality.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse graphic design projects and a keen eye for aesthetics
- Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles
- Demonstrable experience with brand identity development and application
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with food & beverage or agricultural brands
- Familiarity with photography and/or video editing software
- Understanding of local Rwandan cultural nuances in design
- Experience with UI/UX design principles for web applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
