As a Greenhouse Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and vitality of our crops. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily watering of plants according to specific schedules and plant needs.
  • Assist with planting, transplanting, and repotting seedlings and mature plants.
  • Monitor plants for signs of pests, diseases, or nutritional deficiencies and report findings to supervisors promptly.
  • Carry out pruning, trimming, and harvesting tasks as directed, ensuring plant health and yield.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the greenhouse, including sweeping, waste removal, and sanitization.
  • Operate basic greenhouse equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare growing media and fill pots/trays for planting, ensuring proper soil composition.
  • Assist with inventory management of plants and supplies, recording data accurately.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily production and quality goals.

Required Skills

  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and techniques.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged standing, bending, and repetitive lifting of up to 25kg.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and observation skills for plant health and quality control.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Basic communication skills in English or Swahili to interact with team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • No formal experience required, but a genuine interest in plants, gardening, or agriculture is a significant plus.
  • Previous experience in any physically demanding outdoor or indoor labor role demonstrates relevant work ethic.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools used for gardening or agricultural tasks.
