Key Responsibilities
- Assist grill cooks with the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and portioning meats and vegetables.
- Support the grill cook in the cooking process, including flipping items, monitoring temperatures, and ensuring proper cooking times.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation, cooking areas, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to minimize waste and comply with food safety regulations.
- Follow all established recipes, portion control guidelines, and presentation standards.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles.
- Assist with inventory checks and restocking of kitchen supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.
- Assist with general kitchen duties, including dishwashing and waste disposal, when required.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.
