As a Backroom Stocker, you are the backbone of the store, ensuring that products are efficiently received, organized, and moved from the backroom to the sales floor. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming deliveries from vendors accurately and efficiently.
- Organize and store products in the backroom according to company standards, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO) and safety guidelines.
- Replenish shelves, displays, and coolers on the sales floor promptly throughout the day to maintain full stock levels.
- Verify product counts against invoices and promptly report any discrepancies or damaged goods to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom, receiving area, and sales floor, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other backroom equipment safely and responsibly.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and contribute to waste reduction efforts.
- Provide support to other store departments as needed to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects regularly (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage inventory effectively.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and management.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and physical exertion inherent in a stocking role.
Preferred Qualifications
