Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and finish a wide variety of bakery products including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all bakery and grocery displays are well-stocked, attractive, clean, and comply with merchandising guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection, special orders, and inquiries.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and slicers.
- Monitor product freshness, rotate stock, and manage inventory to minimize waste and ensure optimal quality.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations and procedures.
- Assist with receiving and stocking grocery deliveries, verifying accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and storage areas.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals and ensure smooth operations.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate as necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a bakery or food service environment (at least 6 months)
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food preparation
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP principles a plus)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work flexible hours
- Attention to detail and a passion for quality products
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with a variety of bakery equipment
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in stock rotation and inventory management
