Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently unload, receive, and stock products in refrigerated and frozen display cases and storage units.
- Rotate products according to 'first-in, first-out' (FIFO) principles to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Monitor product expiry dates and remove any expired or damaged items from shelves.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all cooler, freezer, and dairy sections, including shelves, floors, and storage areas.
- Assist with regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service, assisting shoppers with locating products and answering basic inquiries.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely, if trained and certified (training provided).
- Assist in preparing the department for daily operations and closing procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
