Working during the overnight hours, you will be primarily responsible for the meticulous process of receiving, unpacking, and carefully placing merchandise onto store shelves. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload daily deliveries of grocery products efficiently and safely.
- Stock shelves, rotate products, and ensure proper product placement according to store planograms and merchandising standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, backroom, and receiving areas throughout the shift.
- Ensure aisles are clear and safe for day staff and customers.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely after proper training (if required).
- Monitor product freshness, identify damaged items, and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks and achieve daily stocking goals.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and food handling regulations.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support store operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently during night hours (e.g., 10 PM – 7 AM).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a tidy work environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (or currently pursuing).
- Prior experience in a physical labor role, even outside of retail.
