Career.zycto is actively seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Grocery Store Cashier to join our bustling team in Mile 12, Lagos. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Accurately scan, weigh, and bag items for customers.
- Process various payment methods including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and reconcile it at the end of each shift.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and direct them to appropriate aisles.
- Promote loyalty programs, special offers, and store promotions.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with restocking shelves or other store duties as needed during downtime.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, especially regarding cash handling and security.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
