Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing.
- Conduct seasonal garden bed maintenance such as weeding, mulching, planting, and pruning.
- Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Remove leaves, debris, and refuse from grounds and common areas.
- Execute snow removal and ice management tasks during winter months (shoveling, salting, operating snow blowers).
- Monitor and report on the health and condition of plants, trees, and turf.
- Assist with irrigation system checks and minor repairs.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in grounds maintenance or a similar role.
- Proficiency in operating various landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of basic horticulture and plant care.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to grounds maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in horticulture, landscaping, or related field.
- Experience with snow removal equipment operation.
- Basic irrigation system knowledge.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
