Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, pruning shrubs and trees, and weeding flowerbeds.
  • Plant and maintain flowers, trees, and other landscape elements.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools, ensuring their proper function and safety.
  • Implement irrigation schedules and maintain watering systems to ensure optimal plant health.
  • Clear debris, litter, and other hazards from grounds and walkways.
  • Assist with the preparation of grounds for special events or projects.
  • Monitor the health of plants and landscapes, identifying and reporting issues such as pests or diseases.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performing duties.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Support snow and ice removal during winter months, if applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and storage areas for tools and equipment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscaping, preferably with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Proficiency in operating common grounds maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers).
  • Basic knowledge of plant care, gardening techniques, and landscape maintenance.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
