Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and assist guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process and providing comprehensive information about resort facilities and services.
- Proactively engage with guests throughout their stay to gather feedback, anticipate needs, and offer personalized assistance.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency, ensuring timely resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with various departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Spa) to fulfill guest requests and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all resort promotions, events, and local attractions to provide accurate recommendations to guests.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of welcome amenities, special occasion arrangements, and departure gifts.
- Cultivate strong relationships with repeat guests and VIPs, recognizing their preferences and ensuring their continued loyalty.
- Monitor guest reviews and feedback platforms, contributing to strategies for service improvement.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including managing guest profiles and maintaining accurate records.
- Act as a brand ambassador, upholding Shanti Maurice’s high standards of service and hospitality at all times.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Guest Relations or similar front-of-house role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French.
- Proven ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized, intuitive service.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., German, Mandarin, Hindi) is a significant advantage.
- Experience working with diverse international clientele.
- Familiarity with the Mauritian culture and local attractions.
