Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, performing efficient check-ins and check-outs.
- Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately and promptly.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Manage cash and credit card transactions, maintaining accurate records and balancing daily accounts.
- Assist guests with luggage handling and transportation arrangements as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless guest service (Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance).
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and offer personalized service.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Swahili is a strong advantage).
- Proven customer service experience, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software (PMS) and basic office applications.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
- Experience with Opera PMS or a similar property management system.
- Knowledge of local Nairobi attractions, culture, and travel information.
- Ability to speak additional foreign languages.
