Job Description

This role is crucial for ensuring our guests receive a seamless and comfortable transportation experience from start to finish. You will be the friendly face of Career.zycto, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of guests to and from various destinations within Uyo and its environs. This isn’t just about driving; it’s about providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating impeccable professionalism, and ensuring every journey reflects our commitment to quality. As a Guest Transport Assistant, you will play a vital role in upholding our service standards, ensuring punctuality, vehicle cleanliness, and guest comfort are consistently met.

Your daily tasks will involve operating company vehicles responsibly, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to guarantee safety and readiness, and assisting guests with their luggage. You will be expected to maintain a thorough knowledge of Uyo’s road network, local attractions, and key landmarks to provide informative and efficient routes. Furthermore, strong communication skills are paramount as you interact with guests, addressing their inquiries, providing helpful recommendations, and ensuring their journey is pleasant and stress-free. We are looking for someone who is proactive, observant, and capable of handling unforeseen situations with calm professionalism. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and punctually transport guests to and from designated locations.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and cleanliness.
  • Assist guests with luggage loading and unloading, demonstrating courtesy and care.
  • Maintain accurate transportation logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and guest movements.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean, fueled, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering guest inquiries and offering local information.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents promptly.
  • Be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Skills

  • Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class B or above)
  • Proven safe driving record with no major violations
  • Excellent knowledge of Uyo road networks and local landmarks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-centric approach with a polite and professional demeanor
  • Ability to lift and carry luggage (up to 25kg)
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or guest transportation services
  • Fluency in local languages (e.g., Ibibio, Annang) in addition to English
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Defensive driving certification
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile applications
