Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning and clearing of gutters and downspouts on various residential and commercial properties.
  • Safely operate ladders, hoists, and other necessary equipment for accessing elevated gutter systems.
  • Remove leaves, twigs, moss, dirt, and other obstructions to ensure proper water flow.
  • Inspect gutters and downspouts for damage, blockages, or potential issues and report findings to the team lead.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company guidelines for working at heights and handling equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored and cared for.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with other general property maintenance tasks as required.

Required Skills

  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work for extended periods outdoors.
  • Comfortable working at heights on ladders and scaffolding, adhering to strict safety guidelines.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for self and others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in outdoor labour, general maintenance, or cleaning roles.
  • Experience with ladder safety and working at heights.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and power washers.
  • Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • First Aid and WHMIS certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
