Your daily tasks will involve managing member check-ins efficiently, processing new memberships, handling renewals, and expertly navigating inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions. A keen eye for detail will be essential as you maintain our front desk area, ensuring it remains immaculate, organized, and inviting. Beyond administrative duties, you’ll be a vital source of information, guiding individuals through our diverse range of classes, state-of-the-art facilities, personal training options, and ongoing promotions. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all members, guests, and prospective clients with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Manage member check-ins, process new memberships, and handle membership renewals efficiently.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and address inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Schedule appointments for personal training sessions, classes, and facility tours.
- Process payments for memberships, merchandise, and services using our POS system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area and lobby throughout the day.
- Provide comprehensive information about gym facilities, classes, programs, and promotions.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry and filing, as required.
- Handle minor member concerns and direct more complex issues to appropriate staff members.
- Monitor security cameras and ensure facility safety protocols are consistently followed.
- Promote a positive, energetic, and encouraging atmosphere within the gym environment.
Required Skills
- Proven customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality or fitness setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, scheduling software).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as needed.
- Experience with cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in hospitality is a plus.
- Prior experience as a receptionist in a gym, spa, or similar customer-facing environment.
