Key Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, highlights, perms, and various hair treatments.
- Consult with clients to understand their hair needs, preferences, and provide expert advice on styles, colors, and hair care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation and ensure all tools and equipment are sterilized.
- Stay updated with current hair trends, techniques, and product knowledge through continuous learning and professional development.
- Promote and sell salon products and services, advising clients on suitable retail options for home care.
- Build and maintain a loyal client base through exceptional service and strong interpersonal skills.
- Manage client appointments efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely service delivery.
- Collaborate with salon management and team members to achieve salon goals and maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Adhere to all salon policies, health and safety regulations, and professional standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist in a professional salon environment.
- Demonstrable proficiency in a wide range of hair cutting, styling, and coloring techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong client-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple clients.
- Strong artistic flair and creativity in hair design.
- Knowledge of hair care products and treatments, with the ability to recommend and apply them appropriately.
- Valid cosmetology license or equivalent certification as required by local regulations.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swahili is an added advantage.
