Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store.
  • Provide accurate and helpful information regarding product features, usage, and compatibility.
  • Process sales transactions efficiently using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and handle cash/card payments.
  • Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure products are clearly priced and well-presented.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, verifying quantities, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment, including sweeping, dusting, and clearing aisles.
  • Handle customer returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
  • Assist with basic key cutting, paint mixing, or other minor hardware services as needed after training.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculating sales, change, and inventory.
  • Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 25 kg regularly.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
  • Basic computer literacy for POS system operation.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous retail or customer service experience, ideally in a hardware store or similar environment.
