Job Description
Mazowe Citrus Estates is actively seeking a highly strategic, results-oriented, and visionary Head of Corporate Development to become an integral part of our executive leadership team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in meticulously identifying, comprehensively evaluating, and expertly executing new growth opportunities that are perfectly aligned with our ambitious long-term strategic objectives and vision for sustainable expansion. The successful candidate will take the lead in all facets of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), forge strategic partnerships, establish mutually beneficial joint ventures, and drive other critical corporate initiatives specifically aimed at significantly enhancing our market position, intelligently expanding our product lines, and substantially improving our operational leverage and overall efficiency. You will assume full responsibility for conducting thorough and rigorous market research, developing sophisticated financial models, performing meticulous due diligence, and skillfully negotiating complex deals, working in close collaboration with senior leadership across various departments including finance, operations, sales, and legal. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine the company’s corporate development strategy in alignment with overall business objectives and market trends.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential M&A targets, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and other investment opportunities.
- Lead all phases of the M&A process, from initial screening and due diligence to valuation, negotiation, structuring, and integration planning.
- Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, market analysis, and risk assessment for all potential corporate development initiatives.
- Prepare compelling business cases and presentations for the Board of Directors and senior management, outlining strategic rationale, financial implications, and implementation plans.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, industry peers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, operations, and commercial teams to ensure seamless execution and integration of new ventures.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
- Provide post-acquisition support and performance monitoring to ensure successful integration and realization of projected synergies.
- Mentor and develop a small team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
