Job Description

We are seeking an visionary and results-driven Head of Mobile Strategy to lead our strategic initiatives in the rapidly evolving mobile landscape within the Mashonaland Central Province, based in Bindura. This critical role is responsible for defining, developing, and executing comprehensive mobile strategies that drive market leadership, customer engagement, and sustainable revenue growth. The Head of Mobile Strategy will identify emerging trends, analyze competitive landscapes, and leverage data-driven insights to innovate and optimize our mobile product and service offerings. You will be a key architect in shaping how Econet Wireless Zimbabwe connects with its customers and expands its footprint in the mobile ecosystem, ensuring our solutions remain cutting-edge and relevant to the needs of the Zimbabwean market. This position requires a blend of strategic foresight, commercial acumen, and strong leadership to guide cross-functional teams towards achieving ambitious business objectives. You will be instrumental in identifying new opportunities, launching innovative products, and refining existing services to maintain our competitive edge and enhance user experience. Success in this role will directly contribute to our commitment to digital inclusion and economic empowerment throughout the region. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a compelling mobile strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and market vision.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and trend identification to inform strategic decision-making and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Lead the ideation, development, and launch of innovative mobile products, services, and features.
  • Optimize existing mobile offerings through continuous performance monitoring, user feedback analysis, and iteration.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability by identifying new business models, partnerships, and monetization strategies for mobile services.
  • Collaborate closely with product development, marketing, sales, technology, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of mobile strategies.
  • Manage the mobile product lifecycle from conceptualization to end-of-life, ensuring sustained value and market relevance.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs for mobile strategy initiatives, reporting on performance to senior leadership.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, data-driven decision-making, and customer-centricity within the mobile strategy team.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and ethical standards in mobile service delivery.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of mobile strategy professionals.
