Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our growing team in Mitte, Ingolstadt. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across various client projects and internal operations. We are looking for a proactive professional with a deep understanding of German occupational health and safety regulations, capable of developing, implementing, and monitoring robust safety management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health & Safety policies and procedures in line with national and international standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform detailed risk assessments for various activities and propose effective control measures.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on all H&S matters, including legislative requirements and best practices.
  • Organize and deliver health and safety training programs to foster a safety-conscious culture among staff.
  • Prepare and present H&S performance reports to senior management.
  • Stay updated with changes in H&S legislation and industry standards, integrating new requirements into existing systems.
  • Collaborate with external regulatory bodies during inspections and inquiries.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or in a similar role within Germany.
  • In-depth knowledge of German H&S legislation (e.g., Arbeitsschutzgesetz, DGUV Vorschriften).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective H&S training.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (SiFa) or comparable international safety qualifications.
  • Experience in diverse industrial or corporate environments.
  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
