Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive occupational health and safety (OHS) management systems and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OHS legislation and company policies.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on all OHS matters, including hazard control, emergency preparedness, and safe work practices.
- Organize and deliver engaging OHS training programs and workshops to enhance employee awareness and competence.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of OHS programs and initiatives, recommending continuous improvements.
- Maintain accurate OHS records, prepare reports, and submit necessary documentation to regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies (e.g., regulators, emergency services) on OHS-related issues.
- Stay current with OHS legislation, industry best practices, and technological advancements to ensure ongoing compliance and innovation.
- Promote a positive safety culture through effective communication, engagement, and leadership.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of German OHS legislation (e.g., Arbeitsschutzgesetz, DGUV Vorschriften).
- Excellent understanding of risk assessment and incident investigation methodologies.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging OHS training programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent international OHS qualification.
