Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with H&S regulations.
- Lead and deliver engaging health and safety training sessions for all employees.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of all H&S activities, including training, inspections, and incidents.
- Advise management on health and safety matters, promoting continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Cultivate and promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
Required Skills
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent IOSH qualification.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a Health and Safety Officer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation (e.g., HASAWA, CDM Regulations).
- Demonstrable expertise in risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification.
- Strong incident investigation and report writing skills.
