Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor robust Health & Safety policies and procedures in line with national legislation and international best practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across the industrial estate to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and recommending preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
- Deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs to employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring awareness and compliance.
- Ensure all plant, machinery, and equipment adhere to safety standards and are regularly inspected and maintained.
- Maintain accurate records of safety performance, incidents, training, and compliance activities.
- Advise management on health and safety matters, fostering a proactive safety culture across all levels.
- Prepare and present regular reports on H&S performance, challenges, and improvements to senior management.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies during inspections and audits, ensuring full compliance.
- Promote the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its correct selection, use, and maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Officer, particularly in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct effective risk assessments and incident investigations.
