As a Health Support Lead, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive health and wellbeing initiatives for our internal staff and the candidates we support through our recruitment services. You will act as a primary point of contact for health-related inquiries, offering guidance, resources, and fostering a culture of proactive care and mental resilience. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of health and wellbeing programs tailored to the needs of our diverse workforce and candidate pool.
  • Provide confidential support, guidance, and signposting to appropriate external resources for staff and candidates facing health or wellbeing challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with HR and senior management to integrate wellbeing strategies into company policies and practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and industry best practices.
  • Organise and facilitate engaging workshops, informative seminars, and awareness campaigns on key health topics, promoting a preventative and proactive approach to wellbeing.
  • Monitor and rigorously evaluate the effectiveness of all health support initiatives, gathering crucial feedback and adapting programs for continuous improvement and maximum impact.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of dedicated support coordinators, providing clear guidance, performance feedback, and fostering their ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and generate comprehensive reports related to health support activities, strictly adhering to data privacy and ethical guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a health, wellbeing, or HR support leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing wellbeing programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
  • Strong understanding of mental health first aid and wellbeing best practices.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in health promotion, counselling, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a recruitment or human resources context.
  • Knowledge of local health services and community support networks in York.
