Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and registrations efficiently and accurately.
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, greeting them warmly and assisting with inquiries.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them appropriately.
- Maintain meticulous patient records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., FOIP/PIPEDA).
- Process billing, insurance claims, and payments, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and organize medical charts, reports, and other administrative documents.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and external healthcare providers.
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as required.
- Assist with the onboarding of new staff and provide general office support.
- Ensure the waiting area and reception are tidy and welcoming for patients.
- Facilitate communication between patients, medical staff, and other departments.
Required Skills
- Proven administrative experience, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.
