Key Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
- Supporting patient mobility, transfers, and rehabilitation exercises.
- Assisting with feeding and hydration, monitoring dietary intake.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and reporting changes to nurses.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Aiding with continence care and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and organisational policies.
- Assisting with the admission and discharge of patients.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a UK healthcare setting.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centred approach to care.
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and first aid.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
