Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, maintaining dignity and respect.
- Support patient mobility, assisting with transfers, walking, and using mobility aids safely.
- Help patients with feeding and hydration, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, accurately.
- Document observations and report any changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
- Assist with the administration of medication under the direct supervision of a qualified nurse.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for patients.
- Support patients with their emotional and social needs, promoting independence and well-being.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety, safeguarding, and infection control policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrable empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar care role.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Experience with electronic patient record systems.
