Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, always maintaining their dignity and privacy.
  • Support nurses in monitoring patient conditions, recording observations, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
  • Ensure patient comfort by assisting with feeding, hydration, and maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe immediate environment.
  • Aid in the preparation of treatment areas and the maintenance of medical equipment, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for use.
  • Assist with patient transportation within the hospital, ensuring their safety and comfort during transfers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting care provided and observations made.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, providing updates and ensuring clear information exchange.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a sterile environment.
  • Participate in hospital training programs and continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Respond to patient call bells promptly and courteously, addressing their needs or escalating to appropriate staff.
