Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Clinic Receptionist with flexible scheduling availability to join our vibrant team in Trans-Ekulu, Enugu. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the clinic's calendar efficiently and minimizing wait times.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct patients to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Register new patients, update existing patient information, and accurately maintain electronic and physical patient records.
- Process patient payments, manage billing inquiries, and handle insurance verification with meticulous attention to detail.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
- Handle patient queries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes, emails, and mail.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- High level of empathy, patience, and discretion when dealing with sensitive patient information.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Igbo is a significant advantage.
