Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including mobility, feeding, personal hygiene, and dressing, respecting their dignity and privacy.
- Support nursing staff by monitoring patient vital signs, documenting observations, and reporting any changes in patient condition promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms and common areas, ensuring a sterile and safe environment.
- Help with patient transfers and ambulation using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Assist in serving meals and ensuring patients receive proper nutrition, documenting intake as required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, engaging them in conversation and light activities.
- Restock supplies in patient rooms and medical carts as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Required Skills
- Proven empathy and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively within a team.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients with assistance.

- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare support role (e.g., caregiver, healthcare assistant, nursing aide).
- Completion of a relevant healthcare support certificate program (e.g., Community Health Extension Worker, Health Assistant training).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
