Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Helpdesk Technician to join our growing team in Ribáuè, Nampula Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve common desktop, laptop, printer, and mobile device problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
  • Assist users with account management, password resets, and access permissions.
  • Document all support interactions, resolutions, and relevant technical information in our ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT knowledge base articles and user guides.
  • Perform routine system checks and preventative maintenance tasks as instructed.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a helpdesk or technical support role (minimum 1 year).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
  • Familiarity with common hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Customer service-oriented with a patient and empathetic approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, ServiceNow).
  • Knowledge of mobile device management (iOS/Android).
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
