Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems, printer malfunctions, and peripheral device issues.
- Assist users with account management, password resets, and software installation/configuration.
- Document all support interactions, resolutions, and steps taken in the ticketing system accurately and promptly.
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when necessary, ensuring proper handover and follow-up.
- Educate users on best practices for software usage and basic system maintenance to prevent recurring issues.
- Participate in the deployment and setup of new hardware and software as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of common software applications and IT policies.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of helpdesk knowledge base articles and FAQs.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving common Windows operating system issues.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, LAN).
- Familiarity with common office productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office 365).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and helpful demeanor.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with flexible scheduling.
- Fluency in Portuguese and working knowledge of English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a helpdesk or customer support role, preferably in an IT context.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation.
- Knowledge of basic server operations and active directory.
- Experience with remote desktop support tools.
