Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
  • Conduct variance analysis, identifying key drivers of financial performance against budget and forecast.
  • Prepare detailed financial models to support business cases and strategic initiatives.
  • Gather and analyse financial data from various sources to provide actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of FP&A processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with different departments to collect data and understand business operations.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial functions).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Experience with financial planning software (e.g., SAP BPC, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights) or ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid team environment.
