Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive annual budgets, detailed quarterly forecasts, and strategic long-range financial plans, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth variance analysis, identifying key performance trends and significant deviations from budget/forecast, and providing actionable insights and recommendations to management.
  • Develop and prepare engaging, comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, to support informed decision-making.
  • Support the development, refinement, and maintenance of intricate financial models to accurately forecast revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow across various business units and scenarios.
  • Gather, validate, and analyze extensive financial and operational data from diverse internal and external sources to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate effectively with different departments (e.g., Sales, Operations, HR) to collect relevant data, understand underlying business drivers, and contextualize financial performance.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis, special projects, and scenario planning as required by senior management, providing timely and accurate financial insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of all financial data and reports, adhering strictly to internal policies, best practices, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the FP&A function to enhance efficiency, data quality, and the overall effectiveness of financial reporting.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling, scenario analysis)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial outputs
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote environment
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting concepts, and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting financial information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Proven experience with financial reporting and data analysis methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related quantitative field
  • 1-2 years of progressive experience in an FP&A, accounting, or financial analyst role
  • Prior experience with enterprise financial planning software (e.g., SAP BPC, Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for creating compelling financial dashboards
  • Pursuit of a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CFA part-qualified)
