Are you an exceptional Product Experience Designer passionate about crafting intuitive, engaging, and impactful user experiences from the comfort of your home? This role requires a blend of user research, ideation, prototyping, and meticulous UI design skills, all while advocating for the user throughout the product development lifecycle. You’ll be expected to understand business objectives, conduct comprehensive user research to identify needs and pain points, and translate these insights into compelling designs. From initial concept sketches to high-fidelity prototypes, you will own the design process, iterate based on feedback, and champion a user-centered approach. Your ability to communicate design rationale clearly and persuasively, both visually and verbally, will be crucial. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and competitive analysis, to understand user needs, behaviours, and motivations.
- Translate user research findings, business requirements, and technical constraints into intuitive and engaging user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and design specifications.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across products.
- Present and articulate design decisions and rationale to internal teams and stakeholders, effectively incorporating feedback into iterations.
- Facilitate workshops and design sprints to foster collaborative problem-solving and ideation.
- Continuously advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring a user-centric approach from concept to launch.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.
- Participate in design critiques, providing constructive feedback to peers.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Product Experience Designer, UX Designer, or similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of user-centered design projects and your design process.
- Proficiency with leading design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision).
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
- Experience conducting various forms of user research and translating insights into actionable design solutions.
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, typography, color, and layout.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience designing for consumer electronics or large-scale digital products.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to inform design decisions.
- Experience with motion design and animation for UI.
