Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Assist with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and running errands.
- Administer medication reminders as per care plan.
- Offer companionship, engage in meaningful conversations, and provide emotional support.
- Safely transport clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized client environment.
- Observe and report any changes in client condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor.
- Document care services provided accurately and timely.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Home Care Worker, Caregiver, or similar role.
- Ability to perform light housekeeping duties and meal preparation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and compassion.
- Reliable transportation and a valid California driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and lift moderate weights.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working with clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Korean).
