Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Administer medication reminders as per care plan and client needs.
- Monitor and record vital signs, observing and reporting any changes in client's physical or mental condition to the supervisor.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including proper use of assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care coordination team.
- Follow individualized care plans diligently and accurately document services provided.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Home Health Aide, Caregiver, or similar role.
- Ability to perform ADLs and IADLs with patience and respect.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and reliable demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate in Home Health Aide, Nursing Assistant, or equivalent.
- Experience working with diverse client populations.
- Proficiency in local languages in addition to Portuguese.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
