Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
  • Administer medication reminders as per care plan and client needs.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, observing and reporting any changes in client's physical or mental condition to the supervisor.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including proper use of assistive devices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care coordination team.
  • Follow individualized care plans diligently and accurately document services provided.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Home Health Aide, Caregiver, or similar role.
  • Ability to perform ADLs and IADLs with patience and respect.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and reliable demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate in Home Health Aide, Nursing Assistant, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with diverse client populations.
  • Proficiency in local languages in addition to Portuguese.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
