Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed therapists (e.g., physiotherapists, occupational therapists) with patient exercises and mobility activities as per prescribed care plans.
- Prepare and maintain therapy equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality before and after use.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition, progress, or concerns to the supervising therapist promptly.
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and comfortable environment for patients during therapy sessions.
- Provide empathetic support and encouragement to patients throughout their recovery journey.
- Assist patients with transfer and mobility, following established safety protocols.
- Accurately document daily activities, patient observations, and completed tasks.
- Support with light administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and record-keeping.
- Travel to various client homes within Zóbuè and surrounding areas as required.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate demeanor.
- Strong ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively under supervision.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation and scheduling.
- Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and handle therapy equipment.
- Fluency in Portuguese (verbal and written).
