Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment schedules.
- Assist with daily cash reconciliation, bank statement reconciliation, and financial data entry.
- Support payroll processing activities, including data verification and record keeping.
- Prepare and maintain various financial records, reports, and statements for management review.
- Monitor and track expenses, identifying discrepancies and opportunities for cost optimization within hospitality operations.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Contribute to inventory management and cost control initiatives for food, beverage, and other operational supplies.
- Process guest billing, resolve discrepancies, and manage credit card reconciliations.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with other departmental heads (e.g., Food & Beverage, Front Office) to gather necessary financial data.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and administrative tasks as required by the finance team.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 50, or hospitality-specific POS systems).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas).
- Excellent attention to detail and unwavering commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for internal and external stakeholders.
