Job Description

We are actively seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Hospitality Front Desk Coordinator to join our esteemed team at Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa. This pivotal full-time role serves as the first point of contact for our valued guests, setting the tone for their entire stay. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, performing efficient check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications with accuracy, utilizing the hotel's property management system (PMS).
  • Process guest payments, handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, local attractions, and dining options.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfactory resolution.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls, directing them appropriately and taking accurate messages.
  • Assist with luggage handling and provide shuttle service information when required.
  • Collaborate closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Uphold hotel security procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and report generation.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a front desk or guest services role within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese.
  • Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS), ideally Opera or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for guest service.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Fluency in an additional language (e.g., Swahili, French).
  • Experience working in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
  • Knowledge of local Pemba and Cabo Delgado attractions and culture.
