Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and offer recommendations on beverages.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to standard recipes and quality control standards.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for order entry, billing, and cash handling, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, condiments, and bar equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages, spirits, and bar supplies, and assist with ordering and restocking as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all local and national liquor laws and regulations, including verifying age requirements.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, anticipating needs and ensuring a positive experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure seamless service.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the bar, including cleaning, stocking, and securing the area.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current beverage trends, new products, and promotions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bar Attendant or in a similar role within a hotel or high-volume restaurant.
- Excellent knowledge of drink preparation and familiarity with classic and contemporary cocktails.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly and engaging personality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash and operating POS systems.
