Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, take drink orders accurately, and serve beverages in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and mix a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, spirits, mixers, and garnishes.
- Monitor and manage bar inventory, assisting with stock counts and ordering as required.
- Process payments efficiently and accurately using the hotel's POS system.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, anticipating their needs and providing recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as local licensing laws regarding alcohol service.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and front desk personnel.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor complaints with professionalism and discretion, escalating issues when necessary.
- Uphold the highest standards of service and presentation at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bar Attendant or in a similar hospitality role (minimum 1.5 years).
- Extensive knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktail recipes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and handling cash/card transactions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A positive attitude and a team-player mentality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Additional language proficiency (e.g., French, Yoruba).
