Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with hotel standards and recipes.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner, anticipating their needs and offering recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, ingredients, and equipment.
- Process guest orders and payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages, spirits, and bar supplies, and assist with ordering when necessary.
- Adhere to all local and hotel-specific regulations regarding alcohol service and responsible drinking.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and hotel promotions.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the bar, including cash reconciliation.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Bar Attendant or in a similar role within a hotel or high-volume establishment.
- Proven ability to mix and serve a variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in basic math and cash handling.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hospitality industry.
- Good command of English, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in mixology or bartending from a recognized institution.
- Experience with a major Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
