Your primary responsibility will be to assist guests with their luggage upon arrival and departure, ensuring a seamless and efficient process. Beyond physical assistance, you will embody the spirit of Nigerian hospitality, offering warm greetings, providing directions, and answering inquiries about hotel services and local attractions. We are looking for someone who is not only physically capable of handling luggage but also possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet all arriving and departing guests, providing a positive first and last impression.
  • Efficiently assist guests with luggage handling, including loading and unloading from vehicles and transporting to and from rooms.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, providing an orientation to the room features and hotel facilities.
  • Provide accurate information about hotel services, amenities, and local points of interest.
  • Retrieve and deliver items for guests as requested, such as laundry, mail, or special deliveries.
  • Assist guests with calling taxis or arranging other transportation services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bell desk area and hotel lobby.
  • Be knowledgeable about emergency procedures and assist guests during any emergency situations.
  • Collaborate effectively with front desk, concierge, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, escalating when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 25kg) consistently.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Lagos geography and local attractions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel, customer service, or hospitality role.
  • Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera) is an advantage.
