Job Description

Career.zycto is excited to partner with a premier hotel in West Bloomington, Bloomington, to find an exceptional Part-Time Hotel Bellhop specializing in Luggage Services. As a Bellhop, you are more than just a luggage assistant; you are a key ambassador, a local guide, and a crucial support system for our guests, ensuring their stay begins and ends with unparalleled ease and comfort.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for warmly greeting guests upon their arrival and departure, assisting with the careful handling and transport of their luggage, and providing clear directions and recommendations about the hotel’s amenities and local attractions. Your ability to anticipate needs, maintain a professional demeanor under pressure, and offer proactive assistance will define the guest experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and departure, offering immediate assistance with luggage and transportation.
  • Safely and efficiently transport guest luggage to and from rooms, ensuring items are handled with care and placed appropriately.
  • Provide clear, concise directions to guest rooms, hotel facilities, and local points of interest, demonstrating excellent knowledge of the area.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, special requests, and any immediate needs, escalating complex issues to appropriate departments.
  • Coordinate with the front desk, valet, and concierge teams to ensure seamless guest transitions and service delivery.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas.
  • Assist with hotel errands, deliveries, and other operational tasks as directed by management.
  • Operate bell carts and other equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures and policies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and friendly demeanor at all times.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a friendly, approachable personality.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A professional and polished appearance.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Familiarity with the Bloomington, MN area and local attractions.
  • Experience operating bell carts or similar equipment.
  • A valid driver's license (for potential valet assistance).
