Key Responsibilities
- Assist Head Chefs and Sous Chefs with all aspects of food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Perform mise en place duties, including precise chopping, peeling, slicing, and washing of ingredients.
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly, labelled accurately, and rotated effectively to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Maintain a pristine and organized work station, strictly complying with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Provide robust support to the kitchen team during peak service periods, focusing on plating dishes efficiently and ensuring timely delivery.
- Diligently learn and adhere to standardized recipes, cooking methods, and presentation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation, accurate record-keeping, and receiving deliveries.
