Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and assist guests with inquiries, requests, and concerns.
- Provide accurate and detailed information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Make and confirm reservations for restaurants, tours, transportation, and other activities.
- Coordinate special requests such as flower delivery, spa appointments, or bespoke experiences.
- Handle guest mail, messages, and packages with discretion and efficiency.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of local events, entertainment, and points of interest.
- Address guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary.
- Liaise effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist with bell desk duties, including luggage handling, as needed.
- Proactively anticipate guest needs and offer personalized recommendations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a concierge or front office role within a 4/5-star hotel environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Profound knowledge of Port Augusta and surrounding regional attractions, dining, and services.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a strong guest-first mentality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
