This full-time role offers an exceptional opportunity for a service-oriented individual to become the face of hospitality, providing unparalleled support and creating memorable experiences for every guest. As a Hotel Concierge, you will be the ultimate resource for information, assistance, and local recommendations, embodying the hotel’s commitment to excellence and personalized service. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that guests feel welcomed, valued, and completely at ease throughout their stay, whether they are visiting for business or leisure.

From arranging transportation and restaurant reservations to recommending local attractions, cultural events, and hidden gems in Port Augusta and the surrounding Flinders Ranges, you will be the go-to expert. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and assist guests with inquiries, requests, and concerns.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Make and confirm reservations for restaurants, tours, transportation, and other activities.
  • Coordinate special requests such as flower delivery, spa appointments, or bespoke experiences.
  • Handle guest mail, messages, and packages with discretion and efficiency.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of local events, entertainment, and points of interest.
  • Address guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary.
  • Liaise effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist with bell desk duties, including luggage handling, as needed.
  • Proactively anticipate guest needs and offer personalized recommendations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a concierge or front office role within a 4/5-star hotel environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Profound knowledge of Port Augusta and surrounding regional attractions, dining, and services.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a strong guest-first mentality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
  • Experience with luxury service standards.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License.
