Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and daily menus, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work station, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of food items, minimizing waste and optimizing freshness.
  • Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff, including chefs, other cooks, and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth service.
  • Assist in menu planning, portion control, and cost management as required.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Adapt to changing guest preferences and dietary restrictions with creativity and professionalism.
  • Contribute to a positive and cooperative working environment within the kitchen.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Cook in a hotel, restaurant, or catering setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP or similar).
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
