Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures, including luggage assistance when necessary.
- Manage all guest reservations efficiently, including new bookings, cancellations, and modifications, ensuring accuracy in our property management system.
- Process payments, handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain a balanced till at the end of each shift.
- Answer incoming calls professionally, respond to guest inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Act as a concierge, offering recommendations for local dining, activities, and transportation options in Peka and the wider Leribe district.
- Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly and courteously, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area throughout your shift.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments, including housekeeping, dining, and maintenance, to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries for guests and hotel operations.
- Perform night audit duties as needed, including verifying and balancing daily transactions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality or a related field.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Sesotho (advantageous).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and the ability to quickly learn property management software (PMS).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and efficient under pressure.
- Problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Previous experience working with a Property Management System (PMS) such as Opera or similar.
- Knowledge of local attractions and services in Peka, Leribe, and surrounding areas.
